Underground Coal Mining Roof Bolter Operator

JOB SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Be an active participant in the company's Behavior Based Safety Process.
• This person is an experienced and proven roof bolter operator who is self-motivated, skilled and dependable.
• Additionally, this person may be required to perform non-equipment operator tasks and duties such as shoveling, building/maintaining ventilation controls, assisting in various maintenance and repair duties on mine equipment and other manual related tasks and duties as needed.
• Conduct all work activities in compliance with Federal and State coal mining regulations and Company policies, procedures, and rules.
• The employee must be able to follow specific instructions while maintaining acceptable established standards of work performance and conduct, show the necessary and consistent energy, as well as acceptable mental and physical dexterity, for the satisfactory completion of the essential duties as summarized and defined.
• The employee must exhibit acceptable interpersonal skills and the continuous ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Most possess a West Virginia Underground Coal Miner Certification
• At a minimum, must be proficient in operating an underground roof bolting machine
• Experience in rib bolting is a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent
