Assistant Maintenance Manager

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Assist the Maintenance Manager in safely and efficiently coordinating all underground and surface maintenance activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Develop and establishes safety action plans, pre-work examinations, and internal safety monitoring to meet the organization's safety and health objectives
• Supervise front line maintenance supervisors set goals and expectations and monitor progress
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments
• Ensure communications are carried out between shifts and weekends ensuring all maintenance activities are addressed
• Monitor and control operational costs help develop and implement cost control measures
• Ensure proper record keeping systems are functional maintaining compliance with Federal and State regulations
• Actively support and participate in the Slope Process 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent safety and attendance record
• WV Mine Foreman Certification
• WV electrical certification
